Commissions
Creation Process & Payment
SEE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS PAGE FOR COMPLETE DETAILS OF CLIENT & ARTIST RIGHTS, FAIR USE & REFUNDS
-
Payment Platforms: Commissions are conducted via PayPal or KoFi - this site will direct to both offsite links. Multiple forms of payment are accepted.
-
The client selects the commission type to purchase (basic format + add ons) from the available slots listed in order to determine the total amount they will be charged.
-
To start the process, email stripedrosesketches@proton.me with your details (described below)
-
Please tell me which email address you want to use for your updates and final artwork. For physical commissions, include a complete shipping address.
-
For art of characters, please send a description of the character, along with any references, faceclaims or other visual inspiration to stripedrosesketches@proton.me. For art of real people, please send photo reference corresponding with the desired crop of the drawing (eg bust, full-length) and angle (front, side, 3/4 view)
-
-
Payment: Commissions are invoiced via PayPal with half-charge paid up front and half-charge upon completion. At the halfway mark I will send progress images for feedback and revision requests, then a preview of the final piece at a low resolution with a watermark, and send the completed artwork when payment is received in full. If you choose the Ko-Fi route you can pay all at once, but there is no option for partial payment.
-
Revisions and Progress:
-
I will reach out to you via email when the drawing is halfway complete (sketches, lines) or initially-sketched (all other art) to get feedback as to if I'm going in the right direction. You may request a revision at this time. Physical drawings cannot be majorly revised past inks stage.
-
For digital full-render drawings, I will send an update at the inked or flat-color phase for approval before completing the shading. You may request one revision.
-
For digital posters, I will send the flat-color update with example typography included. You may request a revision for the typography as well as one for art.
-
-
Physical copies: Traditional art will be sent as an original. Prints of art which was originally drawn digitally cost extra to cover the price of printing services (see offers).
-
Turnaround: The turnaround time for a commission is 2 weeks (3 for backgrounds and full-body renders), expect to add up to 3 days per revision once the response is received. Requests may take longer based on the promptness of your reply to in-progress images.
-
Shipping: See shipping policy for pricing; I use the same methods and prices as for my store.
-
Use: Commissions are for personal use only.
-
What I won't draw: In accordance with Wix and PayPal's TOS do not sell art with explicit sexual content. I reserve the right to refuse commissions which promote hate speech or features hate symbols of any kind. I do not draw mech and furry art due to my skillset.
